Tourism numbers for Cache Valley are breaking records

The number of tourists coming to Cache Valley this summer has been breaking records. Julie Hollist, executive director of the Cache Valley Visitor’s Bureau, says they are coming from a lot of different places.

“We have a lot of people coming from Europe, especially Germany and France, we are seeing a lot of them,” Hollist says. “We are also seeing a lot of excellent opportunities to host some national and international tourism companies from France, from Scotland and England who, after a lot of work on our part and in conjunction with the state, have finally recognized that Logan is a great place to have their guests stop over on their way to Yellowstone and Jackson (Hole), in that area.”

Hollist says she feels a lot more people will be coming from that area, not only on bus tours but as individuals and family travelers as well. She says that’s exciting because travelers to these areas don’t just come during the regular tourist season but at any time of year.
