Coulebrook named as Logan City’s Poet Laureate

Logan City has its first-ever Poet Laureate and her name is Star Coulebrook. Logan Library Director Robert Shupe says there were some excellent applications that came in for the city-sponsored competition but he says this was an excellent choice.

Coulebrook has an impressive resume of poems, says Shupe. She has been published, has worked with Utah State University and with other organizations and other poet laureates in the state of Utah.

Her term begins in May and lasts for one year. Shupe says as part of her responsibilities the Poet Laureate will be writing a poem about Logan City for Logan City.

She will also make public appearance and work with the schools promoting poetry throughout the city and Cache Valley.
