Work on traffic lights and intersection realignments underway in Logan

New traffic signals are being installed at the intersection of Center Street and 200 East in Logan. At the Logan Municipal Council meeting Tuesday, Logan Mayor Craig Petersen said the goal is to be finished by mid-April.

The mayor said another construction project at a heavily-used location started Wednesday: at 600 East and 1000 North where a realignment is taking place.

“If you go there now I think you’d find that the road segment from 1000 to 1100 North on 600 East is closed,” Petersen told the council. “The realignment will necessitate those single spokes of the intersection be closed periodically, but initially it will just be one of the four spokes.

“In early May, once the university is done with its academic year, then the full intersection will be closed for a period of time.”

He told the city council Tuesday night that hopefully this project will be finished by early June.
