167-acre Horse Station still under development

Work continues with the Horse Station of Cache Valley and master developer Ernest Bleinberger says the 167-acre site just off U.S. Highway 91 in Franklin, Idaho will not only feature horse-related events but also a mix of commercial, lodging, retail and residential facilities.

He says the major focus at the present time is on the infrastructure which includes streets, water, sewer, gas and electrical service but plans are also being made for arts events, youth recreation activities, and agricultural-related functions such as farmers market and a farm stand.

“The nucleus of the project is the equestrian center itself,” Bleinberger says. “Current plans are for a 70,000 square foot indoor arena with a 30,000 square foot arena floor, permanent stabling for about 250 horses, as well as other indoor and outdoor riding facilities.”

Bleinberger says other themes that are being developed with the help of Parker Real Estate are health and welfare, culture and agriculture. He says Horse Station will be represented at the annual Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous coming up this Friday and Saturday at Mountain Crest High School.
