Semi accident hospitalizes two people

Crews cleaning up two vehicle accident near 1000 West 200 North in Logan. 

<p class=”Standard”>LOGAN — A two vehicle accident sent one person to the hospital and diverted traffic for about an hour near 1000 West 200 North, Tuesday afternoon.</p><p class=”Textbody”><span>Witnesses said a semi-truck was northbound on 1000 West, attempting to turn left into LW’s Truck Stop when it was broadsided by a black BMW sedan, traveling southbound. </span></p><p class=”Textbody”><span>Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said the passenger of the BMW was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital.  The driver was treated and released at the scene. </span></p><p class=”Textbody”><span>The driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and did not appear to be injured.</span></p><p class=”Textbody”><span>Jensen said officers investigating the accident reported the semi-truck driver caused the accident, pulling in front of the oncoming car. </span></p><p class=”Textbody”><span>The semi-truck is owned by JBS Carriers.    </span></p><p class=”Textbody”><span>Southbound traffic was restored by around 1:30 p.m.    </span></p><hr /><p style=”text-align: center;”>[email protected]</p>
