American Mothers of Cache Valley to hold 25th annual conference

LOGAN – American Mothers of Cache Valley are hoping women of all ages attend the 25th annual Mother’s Conference held Saturday, October 25th at the River Heights LDS Stake Center.

Outgoing State President Janeece Beckstrand said the organization has been honoring motherhood for many years and is dedicated to improving the lives of mothers and families across the globe. She said she is excited about the keynote speaker Matt Townsend.

“He just has a way to present things that you will just really enjoy,” Beckstrand said. “Many of you out there maybe have seen him on Studio 5 with Brooke Walker. He is a consultant for them. He is a marriage and family doctor and he just has a wonderful attitude and outlook on different family issues and he will talk on our theme, ‘Connect, conquer and celebrate.’”

The conference starts with breakfast and displays at 8:30 a.m. Townshend will speak at 9:15 a.m. and mothers will be able to select from two of three workshops afterward. They include Beck Andrew’s “Creating Triumph in our Lives,” Patricia Fjeldsted’s “What 25 years of Mothering has taught me” and Steve and Roxey Neeley’s “It begins with Expecting.”

Beckstrand said those attending are asked to bring quarters to help fill Mason jars with them to help children at the borders.
