USU’s Artoberfest combines art with brats

Saturday is Artoberfest at Utah State University. The event will be held at on USU’s Performance Hall Promenade from 2 to 6:30 p.m.

The event, hosted jointly by the USU Student Association and the Caine College of the Arts, will feature “Brats With the Boss,” a chalk art competition, free apple beer, face painting, free entertainment from   the CCA students, artist vendors and more, all to celebrate the arts.

College of the Arts Senator Samuel Wright says Artoberfest is intended to be the closest replication of an Oktoberfest that can be held on campus, plus art.

He says one of the most popular events at the festival is expected to be “Brats With the Boss” at 4 p.m. Students are invited to eat bratwurst with Dean of the College of the Arts Craig Jessop. The brats are free for students and just $2 for the public.
