LOGAN – The 10th Annual Cache Valley Super Sprint Triathlon is this Saturday, July 19th. Start time is 7 am. The triathlon is put on by On Hill Events, an organization that holds running events throughout the state and donates a portion of the proceeds to worthy causes. Close to 30% of the total profit from this race will go to American Mothers, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of women and children.
“We do sixteen races a year as a race company,” said Race Director Joe Coles. “This is one of our smaller ones, but we love it. We love the community of Logan.”
The course will begin with a 500 meter swim at the Logan Aquatic Center, followed by a 12.4 mile bike ride through Mendon. The race will end with a 3.1 mile run past the Logan River Golf Course.
Coles said this is a sprint triathlon, but racers also have the option of doing a double sprint. For the double sprint, athletes will go through the course twice.
Race spots for this Saturday are limited. Register online at logantriathlon.com. Cost is $50 for the sprint triathlon and $55 for the double sprint.
