Homes and vehicles burglarized in North Logan

LOGAN — The North Park Police Department is looking for clues after several North Logan homes were burglarized early Monday morning, including 1st District Court Judge Brian Cannell’s.

Officer Roger Jardine said several homes and vehicles were broken into near Elk Ridge Park, 2500 North 1060 East. Residents reported the burglaries happened while they slept. Police believe they occurred between 1 and 5 a.m.

Some of the items reported stolen include laptops, TVs, video game systems and bicycles. Jardine said several wallets were also reported stolen from vehicles Monday night. Police are trying to determine if the robberies and thefts are connected.

Police do not have a suspect at this time but were able to take fingerprints from the homes and vehicles burglarized. Several mailboxes were also vandalized.

Jardine said it didn’t appear that Judge Cannell’s home was specifically targeted.

As news spread of the burglaries, several neighbors reported hearing noises early Monday morning.

Jardine said they are asking residents to call police immediately, anytime they see or hear things suspicious.
