SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Utah wildlife officials are restocking state reservoirs with tiger muskies.

Division of Wildlife Resources spokesman Mark Hadley says 17,000 fish are set to arrive from Nebraska on Tuesday.

The young fish are about an inch long each but could grow up to 40 inches within four years.

State workers will release them in Utah waters that already have tiger muskies in them.

The division says the replenishment gives Utah anglers a better shot at catching the fish this summer.

Six Utah reservoirs around the state will receive 500 fish to 4,000 fish on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

They include the Pineview, Newton and Joes Valley reservoirs, among others.
