Ogden Canyon reopens after mudslide

OGDEN, Utah (AP) – The main road into Ogden Canyon has re-opened after crews cleared debris from a landslide triggered by a water main break.

UDOT spokesman John Gleason says the slide that happened Wednesday morning was expected to keep State Route 39 closed for 24 hours but the road was cleared in late afternoon.

Gleason says nobody was injured when the mud, rock and debris slid across the road.

He says the 24-inch water main is owned by the city of Ogden.
