TREMONTON — A Brigham City woman was killed and another man injured in a 2-vehicle accident, Saturday night, along I-15/I-84. According to Lieutenant Steven Winwood of the Utah Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 1998 Buick Park Avenue in the outside lane, traveling north. Near mile post 377, she attempted to move from the outside to the inside lane and was broadsided by a 2006 Ford F-150 truck.

Winwood said the woman may have been trying to reach an emergency turn thru, in the center median, so she could turn around and head south.

Emergency officials had to extricate the woman from her car. She was transported to Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton where she was pronounced dead. She has been identified as Faymarie Eames of Brigham City.

The driver of the truck has also been identified at Rondell Nielson of Garland. He was also taken to Bear River Valley Hospital with injuries to his arm.

The accident closed the inside lane of I-15/I-84 for approximately 2 hours while the crash was investigated.
