Jake Doughty arrested in St. George

Jake Doughty, an All-WAC linebacker for the Utah State University football team, was arrested near St. George Tuesday for supplying alcohol to a minor. The charge is a Class A Misdemeanor. Doughty was arrested by a Ranger from the Utah Department of State Parks and booked into the Washington County Jail.

Doughty, 21, was arrested just before 5 p.m. The required bond for the Sandy native was set for $1050 and has been paid. Doughty’s case has been referred to 5th District Court in St. George.

Doughty, a junior, was named to the 1st Team All-WAC after he led USU with 109 tackles and was 2nd overall in the WAC. USU is currently on spring break and spring practices for the Aggie football team are set to begin on Tuesday, March 19.
