Cowboy Rendezvous features singer-songwriter Bren Hill

A host of great cowboy poets and musicians will be in Cache Valley in abundance for the third annual Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous. It opens Friday, March 1 and continues through Sunday, March 3.

General Chairman Dale Major says this year’s theme is “Celebrating Utah’s Cowboys” and the headliner will be Hooper, Utah’s own popular cowboy singer and songwriter Bren Hill. Hill will appear in concert Friday night at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum.

“I try to live the life as much as I can. I spend time on the back of a horse in the mountains. I like to hunt,” Hill explained. “That’s really where my songs come from.

“Once in a while one falls out on the paper and I think that was a gift. I think all of the wrestling and struggling and hard work in songwriting that you do sets you up for when that magic comes.”

The concert starts Friday at 7 p.m. and Hill will also participate in a Songwriter’s Circle on Saturday. More information about Brenn Hill and the Cowboy Rendezvous is available on the website www.cachevalleycowboyrendezvous.com
