Zundel sinks buzzer beater as Bears defeat Scots 53-52

Bear River beat a scrappy Ben Lomond Scots squad 53-52, thanks to a buzzer beater by Kyle Zundel. The Bears led the entire way until Ben Lomond hit a 15 foot jumper to take a 52-51 lead with nine seconds left in the game.

The Scots were led by Josh Harden who had 22 points and Sage Eastburn who scored 15. The Bears were led by Wade Miller and his 20 points and Austin Miller chipped in 11.

Bear River had an 11 point lead in the 2nd half but Ben Lomond made a furious rally cutting the deficit to 1 with about a minute left. It was back and forth from there on out but the Bears being fortunate to have the last possession of the game took advantage of it.

The Bears will now gear up for rivalry night next Friday against Box Elder at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on 104.9 in Box Elder County and heard online at www.kix96fm.com.
