Logan decides against a roundabout on 1000 North 200 East

The vote was unanimous Tuesday night when the Logan Municipal Council decided against having a roundabout at 1000 North and 200 East. However, the council delayed for a month a decision on whether or not to also approve a roundabout at 500 North and 200 East.

This roundabout would have flashing yellow, pedestrian-activated lights to be installed for pedestrian safety. The vote came after residents of the area spoke against the idea of the 1000 North roundabout and several also expressed opposition to the one proposed for 500 North.

The resolution approved by the council includes a traffic signal, rather than a roundabout, on 1000 North. The improved improvements in front of the Mount Logan Middle School will keep parking on the east side of the street by reducing the width of the median on 200 East.
