A special Memorial Day program will be held Monday, May 28 at the North Logan Cemetery starting at 11 a.m. and, according to Public Works Director Allen Luce, it will be a, “celebration of veterans.”
World War II veteran Don Younker and his wife will speak and brief remarks will be given by City Councilmember Nancy Potter. There will be bagpipe music throughout the program and Luce says after that there will be a “covenant-signing ceremony with veterans.”
“They’re committing to really help out the families and service members, whether they’re active or inactive or former veterans, to help out their families in any way possible.”
The North Logan Memorial Cemetery is located at 2000 East 2500 North in North Logan.
