Horse Station gains approval from Franklin Planning Commission

The Horse Station at Cache Valley, a proposed horse sports and commercial mixed-use development, will apparently soon be on its way in Franklin, Idaho. The city’s planning commission voted unanimously to approve a rezone application and preliminary plat at its latest meeting.

The project, to be built on 167 acres just off U.S. 91 in Franklin, will host training and boarding facilities, retail and commercial businesses, an equine veterinary center, indoor and outdoor arenas, a hotel, condominiums and cultural and educational elements.

Ernest Bleinberger, principal developer for the project, says when it is finished he expects it to draw tourists and horse enthusiasts from throughout the Intermountain West.
