Two accidents this weekend send locals to hospital

Two accidents this weekend sent those involved to the hospital.A male and female were driving near 1373 east on 200 South in Hyde Park Friday night when they crossed a bridge and their car became airborne. According to the police scanner, deputies estimated the car was going 70 mph when it hit the ground. The car slid sideways and became wrapped around a tree.According to the police scanner, the front and back ends of the car were nearly touching and the male and female had to be pulled from the vehicle. The female was life flighted due to bleeding on the brain, and the male has many broken bones, including his eye socket. Saturday around 3:50 p.m., two teenagers crashed at 11800 North and 1300 East in Cove. Dispatch reported both teenagers were injured and one was pinned in the car. They were both sent to the Cache Valley Specialty Hospital. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
