Bird Count for Kids event in Brigham City

The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and the Friends of the Bear River Refuge are holding their second annual Bird Count for Kids on Wednesday, December 28.The event will start at 8 a.m. at the James V. Hansen Wildlife Education Center and run until 1 p.m. The event is free and open to children ages six to 15. It is modeled after the National Audubon Society’s Adult Christmas Count.Children and their families will have a chance to get outside while counting the birds in the community. The location is 2155 West Forest Street in Brigham City. Participants will tally their sightings over a sack lunch between 12:30 and 1 p.m.
