It would not have been needed last year. Nevertheless, the Cache County Council agreed Tuesday night to contract with the North American Weather Consultants for a cloud seeding program next year. County Executive Lynn Lemon told the council the cost for the county was $24,000 last year and this year the county’s share is $26,000, with the state matching that amount. Council chairman Jon White called the cloud seeding program, “the cheapest reservoir we can get.” As is his custom, councilmember Craig Peterson cast the only vote against the cloud seeding program.
