Less than a year after their twin daughter Allisyn Grace died from a condition known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, or CDH, Kathleen and James Strickler are trying to raise awareness and research money for the condition. The Stricklers say this problem is more common than some other conditions, such as cystic fibrosis and spina bifida. Utah Governor Herbert has declared Thursday, March 31 as CDH Awareness Day and that night the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant is holding a fundraiser. For those who attend Thursday between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and present a flyer or tell their server they want to participate, then 10% of the purchase will be donated to CDH. For more information about the condition, and other ways to donate, visit

. For those who cannot attend the fundraiser on Thursday but would like to donate, they can do so at all branches of the USU Charter Credit Union.
