Bobcats top Logan, Mustangs fall short at Lakers

Sky View tops Logan, 54-48

The Sky View Bobcats beat their valley rivals the Logan Grizzlies by a score of 54-48 on the road Friday night. It was a tough fought game, with Sky View leading most of the way. The Bobcats were able to hold on to the win due to their clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch. Guard Riley Knowles went 8-8 from the line, on his way to finishing with a game-high 16 points. Logan High coach Logan Brown said his team had “a lot of fight in them” and “laid it on the line,” especially in the 2nd half. Ultimately, however, the Grizzlies came up short against the Bobcats at Grizzly Gym. Kerby Olsen scored 15 points for Logan in a losing effort. -Weston Mangum -Bill Walter

Mountain Crest 47, Bonneville 52

Mountain Crest seemed to be turning their losing streak around in Friday night’s game against the Bonneville Lakers, but fell short in the 4th quarter losing 52-47. The Mustangs lead by seven to end the first quarter, but soon lost that lead in the second. With only a few seconds left in the game, Mountain Crest had a chance to tie it up with a three pointer, but just could not convert. -Todd Olsen
