Auction to raise money for Ferguson family closes midnight Dec. 31

An auction created to raise funds for the Ferguson family of Mendon will close Dec. 31 at midnight. The Fergusons lost two sons – 7-year-old M’Gwire and 10-year-old Bridger – in a car accident a week before Christmas. Later that night, the family’s basement also flooded. The self-employed family has little to no insurance, and the community has been asked to step up and help the family. Bidding in the auction takes place at

until Friday at midnight. A bid can be placed by leaving a comment under the item up for auction. Items available for bidding range from 90 minutes with a professional face painter to a Cafe Rio gift certificate. Donations of items will also be accepted until Friday at midnight. According to the website, 100 percent of money raised during the auction will be given to the Ferguson Family Help Fund. Auction participants are asked to make bids in whole dollar amounts and to leave their e-mail addresses so auction coordinators can contact them once bidding closes. Winners will pay for their items online with PayPal within 48 hours of the auction closing. Money is still being accepted directly to the Ferguson Family Help Fund through any Wells Fargo branch, or by calling 1-800-869-3557. – [email protected]
