While Nibley celebrates its heritage, it also celebrates its parks

Not only is this Heritage Days Week in Nibley, it is also the week to celebrate the city’s Diamond Jubilee, or 75th anniversary. Nibley Mayor Gerald Knight is inviting everyone in Cache Valley to visit his city and enjoy the many different activities going on. Most of the activities take place at the “old” or “original” park with the amphitheater but Knight says some events are at the new Gibbons-Heritage Park which is still being completed. The Mayor says a parks plan is in the works because people in Nibley love parks.”We think they are a quality of life issue when it comes to the community,” Knight says. “Yes, there is an expense for those but we believe they augment and add to the community in a way that I’m not sure you can put a price on it. “Knight says there are a lot of children in Nibley who will be using the parks but there is also an inter-connecting trail system in the parks plan that will provide an option for all age groups.
