Senior Center hosting document shredding event

The Cache County Senior Citizen Center is announcing its annual “Shred Your Documents to Protect Against Fraud” day on Friday, April 2. Shredding for all seniors will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Center Director Kristine Johnson says Darren Hotten will be coming from the State Office on Aging to talk to the seniors about supplemental medigap insurance programs and fraud protection at 12:30 p.m. “From 11 o’clock until 12:30 they will be shredding all of the documents that the seniors have,” Johnson says. She also says there will be time for the general public to participate in document shredding. “Then it’s open to the public from 1 until 2 o’clock to bring as much as they want, carloads or whatever, but of any documents that they have that need to be shredded.” For more information contact the Senior Citizen Center at 755-1720.
