Covey draws large crowd

A large crowd turned out Wednesday to hear Stephen R. Covey’s first lecture as the new, tenured, full professor and the first Huntsman Presidential Chair in Leadership in the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Prior to the Convocation speech, Covey, best-selling author and internationally-recognized authority on leadership, was a guest on KVNU’s Crosstalk show where he said there are basically four dimensions to life: the physical or financial, relationships or the heart, the mind which deals with strategy, and the spirit which deals with purpose and integrity.”I think in a world where trust is becoming very weakened and lessened a great deal, I think,” Covey said, “it’s so important that there’s an emphasis with all these young people and the faculty to focus more on that which is lasting and permanent so people deal with each other with respect and with kindness.”The author of numerous books, Covey spent considerable time at USU autographing copies of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” which has sold more than 20 million copies in 38 languages.
