Art show meant to have positive impact on community

The Little Bloomsbury fourth annual celebration of art, literature and music is coming up on April 23rd through April 25th and once again the exhibition is free and open to all ages.Dr. Brenda Sun, Executive Director of the Little Bloomsbury Foundation, says the non-profit organization is sponsoring the event as a way to have a positive impact on the community.Dr. Sun says the deadline for submitting entries is April 16th and she encourages people to submit their work regardless of background or training. “We typically have a wide range of art work from very established and very well-known artists who have had their works shown nationally and some even internationally,” she says. “And we also have artists who start creating things as therapeutic event in the middle of the night when they couldn’t go to sleep or a house wife doing to please herself and giveaway to her children and grandchildren.”For more information on the art show and on the poster competition preceding the show, call 787-1303. As in other years, the Little Bloomsbury art show will be held at 181 North 200 East in Logan.
