Utah delegation reacts to Massachusetts race

Utah’s Republican senators have reacted to the Democrats’ stinging loss in Tuesday’s Massachusetts election where Republican Scott Brown was successful in defeating Democratic candidate Martha Coakley for the seat left vacant when Senator Ted Kennedy died.Senator Bob Bennett, R-Utah, says the voters in Massachusetts, along with the majority of Americans, have made it clear that the Democratic leadership’s attempts to expand the government and pass Obama’s health care bill is the wrong direction for the country.Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, issued a statement saying Scott Brown’s victory over Martha Coakley is truly historic and provides a very positive development for our country. He says it removes one of the president’s rubber-stamp votes in the Senate.
