Albrecht assistant gets new title

Since 2007 Michael J. Kennedy has served as special assistant to the president for state and federal relations at Utah State University, but now, he holds a new title: vice president for federal and state relations. The change was approved by the USU Board of Trustees at its last meeting on January 8. USU President Stan Albrecht says the new title reflects an expansion of Kennedy’s responsibilities and is in line with titles of those in comparable positions at other state institutions. Kennedy will continue to work at a federal and state level on legislative issues pertinent to USU and assist the university in obtaining federal and state funding for academic programs and research projects.
