The below information was submitted prior to the Primary Election

1. Why did you file as a candidate for city service?

I filed as a candidate for Logan City Mayor because I love Logan, and I feel that my business experience will benefit our city during these challenging times.

2. What do you feel are the key issues facing Logan in the next four years?

1. Park strip issue.2. Rising costs of city utilities.

3. Please describe one or two examples of decisions made by city leaders in the past five years that you disagree with, explain why you disagreed and how you would have handled the situation if you were serving in an elected position at the time.

One example of a decision made by city leaders with which I strongly disagree, is the attempt to solve our community park strip issues with a blanket law that ignores prior use parking and access rights. I fundamentally disagree with the current approach and will fight to remedy this with an appropriate grandfather clause protecting property owners.Another example is when our encumbent mayor recently disavowed all responsibility by Logan City for the canal failure.

4. Please describe one or two examples of decisions made by city leaders in the past five years that you completely agreed with and supported, and if the issue is a lingering issue, you would continue to support if elected.

I agree with and support garbage and recycling collection by Logan City for Cache County residents as well as Logan Library resource sharing. In addition, I will support weekly rather than bi-weekly recycling due to high volume.

5. Describe in your words what you believe the role of city government is.

Get and keep invasive government out of our lives, by applying common sense community solutions.
